This year, as part of activities to observe International Women’s Day, the Department of Gender Relations in collaboration with Strut for a Cause, and the US based not-for-profit organization They Often Cry Outreach (TOCO), hosted a Clothesline Project.
The project served as a vehicle for people to express their emotions and views through displayed shirts that have been decorated or contain written messages about the effects and prevalence of sexual violence.
The activity, which took place at the Serenity Park in Sans Souci, allowed students, community groups and the general public to view the exhibition which was a display of support for the survivors of sexual assault and abuse.
TOCO was founded by Saint Lucian recording artiste Taj Weekes.
Good afternoon Taj,
I wanted to know if you have a telephone contact number so I can give you a call so you can direct us as we would like to make some donation in items.
Thank you and looking forward for your answer.
Kindest regards,
Natalia Ormeno
